Parish-based Initiatives

Parish-based Initiatives
Common Good Foundation already supports charities in this realm, but we want to do more. We believe that there are concerned parishioners throughout the Diocese who may already see a need or who are already offering some support to others. We want them to come forward if needed to seek financial help from the Foundation to allow them to continue serving the common good.

Funds applied for can cover costs such as petrol, food, clothing, hire of hall and/or equipment. A copy of the receipts would be required for accountability purposes.

The Foundation would also cover the cost of wages, but not the purchase of assets nor support health related issues.

Parish-based Initiatives
Applications can be made through the Common Good Foundation’s website under a Charity Services number, such as that of a parish.

The next funding round is open for the month of September, with distributions made in early November to successful applicants.

We would also welcome applications from other worthy charities operating in outlying areas of the Diocese.

All information relating to the funding process, criteria, and applications can be found online at www.commongood.org.nz/support-others/grants

Please note that Parish-based Initiatives are prioritised in the allocation of funds.
