Community and Parish Grants for the Common Good
Bridging the gap between those who can give and those most in need
Across the year, generous donors contribute to the work of the Common Good Foundation. The funds received are distributed to grant applicants as Parish Grants and Community Grants.
Parish Grants: Be inspired by the words of Pope Francis who said "Dare to take a chance on love given and received freely. Go out to the peripheries, which are often filled with loneliness, sadness, inner wounds and loss of the zest for life. With your words and actions, pour the balm of consolation and healing on tormented hearts." Funds up to $12,500/ grant available.
Community Grants: We welcome applications from community groups and organisations for projects and initiatives.
About the Common Good Foundation
The Common Good Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that is part of the Catholic Diocese of Hamilton. We exist to encourage people to live out Catholic Care in Action and our work bridges the gap between those who can give and those most in need. Our grants programme hopes to empower smaller organisations that create a profound impact in their communities.
Grants Available
We welcome grant applications from organisations, community groups, and parishes (individual Catholic churches) who are doing good within the geographical area of the Catholic Diocese of Hamilton.
Grants are typically between $1,500 - $12,500 each and are available through two pathways: Parish Grants and Community Grants.
*Applicants need to serve within the Catholic Diocese of Hamilton area or be a parish like those highlighted
"Do not live entirely isolated, having retreated into yourselves... But gather instead to seek the common good together."
