Funds from Common Good Foundation were spent on the cost of delivering 33 presentations to 4,651 students attending Aquinas College (Tauranga), Campion College (Gisborne), John Paul College (Rotorua), Marian Catholic School (Hamilton), Sacred Heart Girls’ College (Hamilton), and St John’s College (Hamilton).
Your grant supported our Attitude presenters to deliver key messages to equip teenagers with life skills necessary for building a meaningful life. Feedback from the students is the best way to illustrate the impact of our presentations:
“Our school had an awesome speaker. Thanks for the talk it really helps me because I've been bullied most of my life and have hurt myself, and for someone to talk about this it helps me understand that I'm not alone and that people do care about me. I now get I need the support of my friends and family and have decided to get help.”
“My 'friend' tried to pressure me into stealing but even though I told her I didn't want to she kept on pressuring me and calling me names. I was meant to be staying at her house that night but after our Attitude talk I knew I had choices. I rung mum and got to pick me up because I didn't feel safe.”
